COASTD is excited to announce that Jonathan Waters, Director of The Ohio State University Marching Band, will be the featured speaker for our June 19th event at the Dawson Theater!

It's been hard to avoid hearing or seeing news about The Ohio State University Marching Band lately. Known for performing traditional favorites like "Hang on Sloopy" and carrying out the sacred tradition of Script Ohio, The Best Damn Band In The Land (TBDBITL) has more recently  been garnering attention for how they are incorporating the use of technology into their routines. This new technology has helped the band create and perform some of their most memorable halftime shows last season, including a tribute to Michael Jackson, which has received over 40 million views on YouTube and prompted a congratulatory phone call from the late icon's mother, Katherine Jackson. This change would not have been possible without the leadership and vision of Director Jon Waters.

Please join us to hear how TBDBITL is using technology and performance support to teach new music and formations each week. Register early to secure your spot and be entered to win a VIP experience with TBDBITL including: Two floor seats to the pre-game Skull Session and two tickets to that day's football game including pre-game & half-time field access.
