This month’s topic is “Storytelling – the foundation for a successful job search”

Guest facilitator: Russell Cotter, Enterprise Architect for Restaurant Technology at Chipotle

We often think of job search as a series of actions – write a resume, submit job applications, go for interviews, and (hopefully) accept an offer at the end of the process. However, to stand out as a candidate, we need to be more than a piece of paper or a cardboard figure sitting in the interview chair. When we develop stories around our career path, we become more memorable and can more easily demonstrate our value to an organization that needs our skillset.

Russ Cotter will share storytelling strategies that he has used in his work as a manager and business enterprise architect to, as he says “create a lightbulb moment.” Then together, we’ll work on creating our own stories that demonstrate how our career path has contributed to the unique value we bring to the table.
