Diversity & Inclusion SIG, May Bi-Monthly

Come join us for the Bi-Monthly Diversity & Inclusion SIG led by Ankit Shah and assisted by Seema Patel and Kara Stafford.

This month’s meeting will feature a presentation on: Design Strategies to Combat Racism – a Case Study

Guest presenters Karen Bruce Wallace and Madeleine Fix (both from Nationwide Insurance) will share how their company is doing its part to combat racism through thoughtful learning experience design. They will use a case study to reflect on approaches, share successful strategies, and discuss obstacles.

Dr. Karen Bruce Wallace is a learning experience designer and elearning developer at Nationwide Insurance. She has a Ph.D in English and Master of Learning Technologies from the Ohio State University.

Madeleine Fix is a learning experience designer and eLearning developer at Nationwide Insurance. She has an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University, an M.A. in Art Education from the Ohio State University, and supports accessibility for the visually impaired as an audio describer in the Central Ohio area.
